ARPSC Meeting Notes August 15, 2016
8-15-16 Meeting Notes @ Ingham EOC

Long Term Power Outage - contingencies were discussed about how we would be affected if the power went out for weeks at a time and the effect it would have on local repeaters and our ability to move traffic.

Trailer training - We are waiting on Meridian and Lansing to secure training.  It might be possible to get the trailers there for a week so that we can have two training dates (10th and 17th) to become familiar with both Emergency Communications trailers.

Frequency List - The list is completed and just needs to be uploaded to the local radios.  A plan on completing this is in the works.

ARPSC/CERT Picnic - The picnic has been rescheduled for Sept 15th at 6:30 pm.  Let Jim know if you can or cannot attend.

St. James Walk/Run - there were some difficulties with the repeater used (N8OBU) because radios were not narrow-band.  There was discussion about possibly using another machine, working to set the N8OBU repeater for wide band mode in analog, or looking at setting volunteer radios as narrow band.

Run for Chum - Labor Day - This half marathon in Dansville is coming up.  DMR radios will probably be used.  More details will be sent out when information becomes available.

Silver Bells - Up and coming -- we will be looking into the needs as we figure out what the city is requesting.  We are currently planning on the same setup that has been run the last few years."

New Equipment Requests - email items that you think the ARPSC should try to acquire to Dennis -- (add personal gear such as wireless things, interfaces for both EOCs, etc).  Things that are emailed will get added to the list so that we can work on getting grant money allocated to the purchase of said materials if/when it becomes available.
